LAUNCH UPDATE

OEDIPUS-C SOUNDING ROCKET

"First Night Up", meaning the time scientists are prepared to launch the payload, is now scheduled for the 4th with a launch window between 21:47 and 03:11 Alaska Standard Time.

RADARSAT

Launch is now scheduled for November 4th at 06:22 Pacific Standard Time subject to weather limitations and a small launch window of 1 minute. People in Canada interested in watching the launch should note that CPAC (the Canadian Parliament cable channel) plans to broadcast it live. Local organizations may also provide coverage. The Museum of Science and Technology in Ottawa will provide coverage starting at 8 am.

STS-74 - MAJ CHRIS HADFIELD -> November 11th

Launch is scheduled for November 11th at 07:56 Eastern Standard Time. Mir docking is scheduled for November 14th at 02:20 EST. There have been some reports of new space debris appearing in orbit with the Mir Space Station (probably garbage from a recent space-walk) but the debris is not expected to have an impact on the Shuttle docking other than to slightly reduce the docking window of opportunity. T.V. coverage for those who can't receive NASA-TV will be carried on the CPAC cable T.V. channel in Canada.

RUSSIAN INTERBALL AURORAL PROBE -> TBD

Launch is expected this month but a date is still to be defined.
