Three Canadian Protein Crystallization experiments sponsored by the Microgravity Sciences Program were launched yesterday aboard Endeavour, STS-67. The experiments are from the University of Montreal and Merck Frosst, University of Saskatchewan and McMaster University. It is hoped that the experiments will yield results to aid in the study of production of glucose, the inactivation of a range of antibiotics, and the production of new varieties of cheeses.
