Canadian astronaut Dave Williams has been selected to train as Shuttle mission specialist. He will be the third Canadian astronaut to go through this training (ref: Chris Hadfield assigned to STS-74).
Dave Williams is a medical doctor specializing in emergency medicine. He was one of four persons added to Canada's astronaut program in June of 1992.
