RSI announced today that the Canadian International Development Agency has approved a contribution of CDN $319,000 in support of a Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) technology transfer project in Venezuela.

The project is lead by RSI and Venezuela's Instituto de Ingenieria. Two Canadian companies: Dekker Remote Sensing Corp. and PCI Remote Sensing Corp. will collaborate in this program to develop training workshops and demonstration projects in Venezuela.

The objectives of the two-year project are to evaluate and transfer the use of SAR technology to the oil and gas industry in Venezuela and other Latin American countries.
