Surge in security questionnaires outpaces security teams’ bandwidth

As Nutrient scaled rapidly and began serving larger enterprise customers, expectations around security and compliance grew just as quickly. Around the same time, sweeping cybersecurity legislation — including but not limited to the EU’s DORA, the AI Act, and the upcoming Cyber Resilience Act — began reshaping industry standards.

Practically overnight, these new requirements accelerated demand for transparency and proof of controls. From 2022 to 2023 alone, the number of security questionnaires Nutrient received increased tenfold. As a result, the focus on security assessments was in a massive spotlight by Nutrient’s enterprise customer base.

For Information Security Officer Serana Warren and Operations Manager Brian Muñoz, meeting that growing demand was becoming unsustainable. Security questionnaires arrived from individual sales representatives in Slack, each requiring Serana and Brian to dig through old documents, rewrite answers, and track everything in spreadsheets.

From initial trial to a live Trust Center, Nutrient got up and running in less than two months. With Nutrient’s SOC 2 report and key policies housed in a single, secure Trust Center, the team no longer has to manually watermark and email documents; customers suddenly had proactive visibility into Nutrient’s security posture. By providing customers with self-serve access, many now find the answers they need on their own. This has cut inbound questionnaires by more than half, saving the Nutrient team hours every week.

Because Conveyor connects directly with Slack and Salesforce, security reviews no longer derail sales cycles, rather they accelerate them. When a customer requests access to security documentation, the relevant sales representative immediately triggers a Trust Center invite. The Nutrient team gets a Slack notification, verifies the customer, and grants access instantly — no more long email threads or missing NDAs.

With this foundation in place, Conveyor’s AI and automation tools help tackle customer questionnaires, many of which have more than 100 questions. The platform automatically suggests answers from Nutrient’s knowledge base, combining past responses with AI-driven reviews of relevant policies. Each question is then routed to the proper SME for quick human approval or correction. “Instead of a couple individuals spending hundreds of hours a year coordinating questionnaires, we can now quickly assign ownership to Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). SMEs can then review, approve, or update responses in minutes to best meet the needs of our customers.” Brian shares.

The team can also update documentation and policies as new regulations roll out so that Nutrient’s knowledge base stays organized and audit-ready, with customers automatically seeing the latest versions through the Trust Center.
